Virtual merchandising is a overview of category management basics. The course will utilize ProSpace, a JDA Intactix Software, used in today's retail arena for space management.
The tool allows you to:
- Create optimal allocation of products
- Identify possible inventory problems before they hit the store
- Quickly design displays
- Instantly see the effects of changes in facing and product assortment
- Increase your value to your customer

About the Instructors
Eric Liberatore has over 13 years experience with Space Management starting with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. in 1992. In 1996, he joined Intactix (now JDA) where he aided Wal-Mart Stores in transitioning their space-management software to InterCept. While with Intactix, he worked on the Wal-Mart campus training users on the latest versions of space management. After the transition, he continued to support Wal-Mart buyers and suppliers in space to sales performance. Eric joined the supplier community in 1997, and today is a Planogram Development Manager with Clorox where he manages over 500 planograms for various categories. He is currently the national chairman of the JDA Space Automation Users Group and a co-leader of the local Intactix User Group.

Requirements:
All participants should have some knowledge of merchandising or sales to Wal-Mart. Knowledge can be acquired through any retail program with NWACC or from practical work experience. All participants must be approved by the program coordinator prior to the start of class.

Payment is required at the time of registration, or a payment plan must be established. No refunds will be issued unless the class is canceled. Registration deadline for all NWACC Corporate Learning classes is 4 days prior to the first class date.
