International Danz was started in 2007 by Raul
Torres-Almaraz with the purpose of preserving traditional
cultural dances from all over the world. Most participants
are Club Members, but there is NO need to be an active
member to join. The first country to start a spark
with traditional dances Northern and Central States from
Mexico.
Mr. Torres wants other cultures to continue or follow the
same path and join this dance group. He wants to include
traditional dances from all countries being represented by
our students at NWACC.
Dance and Music are a powerful tool to bring crowds from all
races and cultures together. Conserving and sharing
traditional dances enhance and preserve one's culture.
So please join us and be proud to show us and the rest of
the college where you come from.
You are more than welcome to join even if you
just want to learn to dance or sing music from other
countries.
