The Natural & Applied Sciences Program at NWACC offers courses that support Associate degree programs and courses that transfer to Baccalaureate programs at senior institutions

Three primary objectives of science education at NWACC:

  1. Scientific Process

    Students gain understanding of the scientific method and principles of inquiry.
  2. Scientific Literacy

    Students possess core scientific knowledge appropriate to freshmen and sophomore years and necessary for success in upper division courses.
  3. Scientific Relevance

    Students recognize the implications of science in making choices on personal, community and global issues.
