Department Head

David Bowman is Director of tne NWACC Aviation Program. Mr. Bowman has over 5,000 hours of flight time in both military and civilian flight operations. He holds the Airline Transport Rating, and has over 2,000 hours in the C-130 aircraft and over 1,000 hours in the DC-9. He has flown single engine, light twin, turbo-prop, and business jet aircraft. During his Air Force tenure, Dave specialized in aircraft accident investigation and prevention. He has a Bachelor's Degree in International Affairs from the University of Wyoming and a Master's in Counselor Education from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. Mr. Greg McCoy serves as the Executive Director of the Arkansas Aviation Technologies Center (AATC) in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Greg started his aviation maintenance career with the U.S. Air Force working with nuclear delivery systems (B-52 and KC-135 aircraft). He then expanded his capabilities through employment with Rockwell International, Eastern Airlines, American Airlines, and as Director of the Airline Consulting Group for Sabre, Inc. Greg heads a staff of 12 at AATC, and reports to a Board of Directors. Greg holds an Airframe and Powerplant rating, an Associate of Science in Aircraft Maintenance Technology from the Community College of the Air Force, and earned his Bachelor's in Industrial Technology from the University of Southern Maine. Executive Director, AATC: Greg McCoy


Michael Kratchmer is Technical Director of Arkansas Aviation Technologies Center (AATC) in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Mike started his aviation career in 1969 with the United States Navy working with TAF-9J and P-3 Orion aircraft. During his career with the Navy he expanded his experience into the areas of Aviation Maintenance Control, Quality Assurance, Government Contract Administration, and Personnel Management and Supervision. He completed 30 total years of award winning service in the Armed Forces in August of 2001. He has been an FAA Certified Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) since 1980. He has been an AMT instructor at two schools and was responsible for the development of curriculum and programs for AATC. He also manages the technical staff, develops special purpose training courses, and is System Administrator for the schools information systems. Mike Kratchmer, Technical Director


Yasser serves as the lead instructor for Drake Aviation's pilot training classes taught at NWACC. He holds a current FAA commercial Pilot and Instrument rating, and is a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI). Yasser is a certified Advanced Ground Instructor (AGI) and an Aircraft Dispatcher. He is current in four types of Cessna single-engine aircraft, flies the Beech-76, and has accumulated over 1,000 hours of flight time. Yasser earned an Associate in Applied Science in Aeronautical Technology in the Pilot Development Program and as an Aircraft Dispatcher (Boeing 727) at San Jacinto College.
