Dr. Crider graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a BS in Physical Therapy in 1984. She received her DPT from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions in May 2007. Dr. Crider became a full-time faculty member in the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Program in 1998. She also served as the Director of Clinical Education since 2002. She accepted the PTA Program Director position in May of 2007. Her clinical background includes practice in the following areas of physical therapy: acute care, pulmonary rehabilitation, inpatient & outpatient neurological rehabilitation, inpatient and outpatient orthopedics and home health. Dr. Crider is a member of the Education Section of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Sammi Eddie, PTA

Ms. Eddie graduated from the NWACC PTA Program in 1999 with an Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from John Brown University in 2001. Ms. Eddie became a full-time faculty member in the PTA Program and Director of Clinical Education in 2007. She has been active in the community with her participation in the Moms-in Motion Program for women who are pregnant. She has also been active in the community in fundraising activities with various charities. Her clinical background includes: acute care, home health, and outpatient rehabilitation. She also served as the Director of Rehabilitation at a local skilled nursing facility. Ms. Eddie is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Kerri Russell
Adjunct Faculty
Kerri Russell graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BS in Physical Therapy in 1978. She completed a doctoral degree in education from the University of Arkansas in 1993. Mrs. Russell is also NDT certified in pediatrics. She has served as an adjunct faculty member in the PTA program since 1999 teaching the pediatric component in the NWACC PTA Program. She also presented a continuing education course on Kinesio-taping and NMES in March of 2004 and serves on the PTA Program Advisory Board.
Julie Ann Matkins, LPTA
Adjunct Faculty
Julie Ann Matkins graduated in 2001 Magna Cum Laude from NWACC with honors and at the top of the class 4.0 GPA with an Assocaites Degree of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant. She also achieved the title, Outstanding Student of the Year for 2000-2001. She served on the Advirosy Board for the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at NWACC from 2003 to 2005. Mrs. Matkins has worked as a Physical Therapist Assistant for the past 8 years in a variety of setting including home healthcare, acute care, outpatient orthopedics, in school therapy and skilled nursing facilities.
