PTA Program Curriculum
Students who complete the pre-requisite courses and are accepted into the PTA Program begin the technical phase of the PTA Program Curriculum in June of each year. Following completion of the summer courses, the students attend fall and spring semesters, then the 2nd summer consists of full time clinical internships. The PTA Program curriculum is very demanding with many hours of in-class and out-of -class time required. It is recommended that students work no more than 10 hours per week.
Clinical placement may be subject to criminal background check, drug screening and other clinical facility policies. In addition, students may be required to go to health care institutions outside Northwest Arkansas for clinical internships at the student's expense.
Check current college catalog for course descriptions.
