PRE - NURSING STUDENTS ADVISEMENT AND INFORMATION SESSIONS
The Nursing Department strongly encourages all pre-nursing students to advise with Nursing Faculty.
The Nursing Department will be hosting the following advisement and information sessions for individuals interested in applying to our program.
You will meet with NWACC nursing faculty who will help guide you through your general education courses until you are ready to apply for admission to the Nursing Department. Advising sessions are designed to help you in meeting the eligibility requirements of the Nursing Program.
Registration is not required; however, seating may be limited. Advising Sessions are not drop-in sessions. We start on time and we end on time. Students are encouraged to arrive 5-10 minutes ahead of time.
PREPARATION FOR AN ADVISING SESSION:
Before you come to an advising session please read all the material in the General Information, Frequently Asked Questions, and/or the LPN to RN Transition Information section of this website. Knowing this basic information in advance will help make your advising session more productive.
Sessions will include information on the entire application process. This includes:
- the timeline for the process
- the various components of the application
- TEAS test (standardized testing)
Time will be set aside for questions and individual advising at the end of the session.
