Placement Information

Before taking any Math placement test, it is strongly recommended that you first spend some time preparing for the test.  MyMathTest.com is a FREE Service to help you score well.  In addition, the following links contain problems (and answers) that are similar to the types of questions that are on the math portion of the ASSET.  These PDF files were created by the faculty at Glendale Community College.  To open the files you will need Adobe Reader which you can download for free at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html.

Prerequisites/Co-Requisites and Test Scores

Some NWACC classes have required pre-requisite/co-requisite course work or standardized test scores to successfully register for these classes. Other courses have recommended prerequisites. Courses and their prerequisites are provided in the college catalog.

Pre-requisites, whether required or recommended are designed to prepare you for success. Students who may choose to register for a course without the benefit of the recommended prerequisite are completely responsible for the outcome of that course. Financial refunds or academic clemency will not be granted to students who register for courses without, first, satisfactorily completing the prerequisite.
