MATH 0053 Beginning Algebra

Prerequisites for this course:

Prealgebra (MATH 0013) with a grade of C or better, or minimum placement score: COMPASS Prealgebra–39, or ACT Math–14.  Prealgebra background is strongly recommended.

Catalog course description:

(F, S, SUM). This developmental algebra course covers linear equations and inequalities, quadratic, and rational equations, graphing lines in a plane, slope, exponential properties, polynomial operations, factoring, rational operations, and emphasizing interwoven problem solving.

MATH 0103 Intermediate Algebra; MATH 1003 Math for AAS General Education
