ACSK 0104 Foundations of Algebra

Prerequisites for this course:

Recent completion of Prealgebra (ACSK 0013) with an A, or minimum placement score: COMPASS: Algebra–35 & Prealgebra–39 or ACT Math–15. Some algebra background is required.

Catalog course description:

(F, S). A combined course, computer–enhanced to target beginning and intermediate algebra skills. The course extends to exponents and radicals, systems of linear equations and inequalities, radical, quadratic, and rational equations and compound inequalities in one variable, line graphs and parabolas, function concepts including domain and range, and interwoven problem solving. Graphing calculator use. Internet access from home is required.
