EMT Course Content

The EMT program follows the National Standard Curriculum Guidelines as set forth by the Department of Transportation and is presented as a one semester course. The course will meet from 6 pm to 10 pm twice a week.
Students will earn eight hours of college credit by attending approximately 120 hours of lecture and 30 hours of laboratory. Laboratory time includes emergency room experience and ambulance experience.
Throughout the course students must demonstrate the practical skills learned in the classroom in dealing with common medical emergencies, such as wounds, fractures, injuries and cardiac arrest. |
