NORTHWEST
ARKANSAS LAW ENFORCMENT TRAINING CONSORTIUM
(NWALETC)
In order to better
assist local agencies in pooling their resources for training initiatives,
NorthWest Arkansas Community College, in cooperation with the Criminal Justice
Department and the Corporate and Continuing Education division, has created
the Northwest Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Consortium (NWALETC).
The NWALETC will
serve as a “round table” consortium of law enforcement training
officers from local agencies. Agencies are finding themselves confronted
with the issue of training the maximum number of officers using minimal
resources and struggling to maintain the high level of standards we have
come accustomed to. Through inter-agency cooperative efforts it is often
possible to assist in meeting these increased demands. The purpose of NWALETC
is to help identify the training programs that you and your fellow agencies
are currently outsourcing. It will then assist in the pooling of resources
and serve as a facilitator to sponsor such events.
