Who may enroll in an honors course?
Honors Program Students
Program members are encouraged to take at least one honors course each semester.
Non-Honors Program Students
Students who are NOT members of the Honors Program are encouraged to take honors courses. Contact the Honors Director and/or instructor for more information about the class. It is recommended that the student has a minimum 3.5 GPA or excels in the subject matter of a particular course.
For example, if a student has a cumulative 3.25 GPA and has made all A's in Comp I and II and World Lit I, then the student should sign up for World Lit II Honors.
How do I enroll in an honors course?
Beginning in the Fall 2009 semester, all honors classes are open. Students will not be required to receive an override to enroll in an Honors course. Be sure to sign up early! Remember, most honors courses are capped at 15 students.
If additional assistance is required, or for questions/comments on this content, please contact the Honors Program Director at honors@nwacc.edu.
