Michael Pearce, Zone 7

Michael Pearce has been a resident of Rogers, Arkansas for five years. He and his wife, Sandy, have been married for 44 years and are blessed with four children and nine grandchildren. 

Retired, Michael is an active member of St. Vincent de Paul parish and a variety of civic and youth activities through Benton County. He thoroughly enjoys many northwest Arkansas play productions and concerts, as well as its walking trails.

Mr. Pearce earned his BS in Education (English) from Edinboro University, Edinboro, Pennsylvania in 1972, a Master of Education (Reading) from Edinboro University in 1974, and an AS in Administration of Justice from the University of Hawaii, Honolulu, Hawaii in 1988.

Mr. Pearce retired from teaching high school at Hubbard Exempted Village School System in Hubbard, Ohio. He has also taught at Reed Middle School and Fisher Catholic High School in Ohio. In Pennsylvania, he taught at Kennedy Christian High School, St. Joseph School, St. Cosmas and Damian School, and Townville High School. While in China, he taught English at Beijing New Oriental Foreign Language School in the city of Yangzhou. During his teaching career, he coached basketball, soccer, cross country, track, softball, football, and volleyball.

Mr. Pearce served in the U.S. Army as a Special Agent in the Criminal Investigation Division. While stationed in Hawaii, he served as Youth Soccer Commissioner and was elected Mayor of Patriot Park at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, and PTO President of OLS School in Wahiawa, HI. He and his family were nominated to represent the U.S. Army Western Command as the Great American Family.
