Stafford Loan Disbursement Information
Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours by the student's census date. The census date is defined as the 11th class day or the first day of the student's enrollment whichever is later.
- Returning student's loan monies will be credited to their account after the 11th class day of the semester. If a refund is due to the student, the Cashiers Office will issue a refund check and mail it to the student. Disbursement of student loan refunds will follow the disbursement schedule posted on the Cashiers web page.
- First time student's loan monies will be credited to their account after the 30th class day of the semester. If a refund is due to the student, the Cashiers Office will issue a refund check and mail it to the student. Disbursement of student loan refunds will follow the disbursement schedule posted on the Cashiers web page.
- Students receiving a one semester only student loan will receive their student loan monies in two disbursements. One disbursement will be credited to their account after the 11th class day. The second disbursement will be credited to their account after the 8th week of classes. If a refund is due to the student, the Cashiers Office will issue a refund check and mail it to the student. Disbursement of student loan refunds will follow the disbursement schedule posted on the Cashiers web page.
