Journal Essay Topics

Essays must be submitted on the Friday indicated in the syllabus

• GOALS- What are your goals for this semester, for your time at NWACC and for your life?
• TIME MANAGEMENT- What did you learn for the Time Management exercise? What do you do well in Time Management?
• LEARNING STYLES- How do you learn best? What type of learning is harder for you? How do you know this? How can you use your knowledge about your preferred learning styles to improve your success in college?
• MBTI AND CAREER EXPLORATION- What did you learn about yourself? Was it consistent with how you see yourself? How could knowledge about your personality type impact your life?
• DECISIONS- What is the most important decision that you have made in your life? How did you make that decision? What was/is it so important and what were/are the outcomes? What did you learn about how to make important decisions such as career planning in the future?
• RELATIONSHIPS AND DIVERSITY - How was race and ethnicity discussed in your family while you were growing up?   What are some of the differences that you see between you and your classmates? How are the differences difficult for you and how do they make you stronger?
