A Component of the First Year Experience
We welcome you to NWACC, the
First Year Experience program and the Successful First Year
Student Course. This should be a great adventure in learning
how to be a successful college student. The class is a three-hour
elective transfer credit course offered through the Department
of Psychology. The faculty are:

All of us are committed to helping you to have a most successful
First Year at NWACC. We believe this class serves
as a catalyst to help you persist in college. Prior to coming
to the first class meeting, please secure your text, Power
Learning: Strategies for Success in College
and Life , Robert Feldman, at the bookstore in the
Woods Lane Building (WLF). Woods Lane is approximately ¾ mile
east of the college off Hudson Road (Hway 102). Turn north for
one block.
You will be provided a 3-ring binder and one floppy computer
disk or a rewritable CD on the first day of class. If you don't
have an email address, please try to get one before you come
to the first class. Free emails are available on yahoo.com
or msn.com. If necessary, we will help you
get one when you arrive.
Attached is a very important Student Information Sheet
you need to complete and bring to the first class meeting.
Prior to class, if you have any questions, please contact one
of us as soon as possible. Again, welcome to NWACC and the Successful
