Hello, my name is Kendall Mair. Growing up I did not have the opportunity to attend any school or receive any formal education. When I turned 18 I decided to go to an Adult Education Center where I enrolled and took GED classes. After a year I was able to receive my General Education Diploma (GED). Not sure if I could handle college or make good grades, I spent a year in Texas at a Bible school where I improved my academic skills. I came back to Rogers and enrolled at NWACC. I chose the community college because I was still not sure I would be able to do well enough to pass college classes. I thought that a community college would be easier, but was surprised that it was just as rigorous. However, my experience here at NWACC has helped me gain confidence to continue my education and pursue my goals. Currently, I am working towards a Pre-Med major with the goal of becoming an Anesthesiologist.
